discus chemical just purchased?

i just purchased a additive for the discus water called discus code its a trace and minor elements for discus has anybody heard good or bad reviews about this, is this additive a waste of money or is it worth the time adding it and the money of buying it and can it go with stress coat adding also

Honestly,I don't recommend any type of additives unless you KNOW you have a need for them.
It would depend on what your actual source water contains as far as to what you would need (if anything). You can get an analysis of your water from the water company/provider (consumer laws dictate they have to give you one) as far as mineral content and its percentages.
Also commented in your other question about Stress Coat.... don't see a need for it if you are NOT having slime coat problems.
If you DO have a need (or feel you have a need) for "trace minerals" ... I'd just look through the dedicated Discus forums and see what the "finatics" use.

I can't recommend one by name,as my water has a mineral content you could carve a statue out of.When I need it "softer" I use excess driftwood and filter through peat (been known to use dried oak leaves when I need it even lower). So in a round about way I go "blackwater" and still have a decent mineral content.
